Carlisle Youth Football Camp

It is with regret that I must announce that the Youth Camp scheduled for July 25-28th will be canceled due to a lack of promotion on my part and sign-ups at this date.  I can’t coordinate a the camp’s staff and plans with a limited number of registrants.  All that did sign up will be directly contacted by me and refunded their money.  9th grade will still have their workouts in the evening at 5:30-7pm Monday through Thursday.

Herd Football Volunteers!

Members of the Thundering Herd Football program volunteered for Carlisle Recreation at the Jim Thorpe Track Meet at Ken Millen Stadium, Tuesday evening, June 28th.  Great effort by the young men and that a way to represent for a great cause.

Carlisle Competes!

The  Thundering Herd participated in the PSU Lions 7On competition with 43 other schools from around the Mid-Atlantic region.

Carlisle went 2-3 during  pool play, losing 3 games by a total of 6 points.  In the championship tournament play, Carlisle won the first round and bowed out in the second round, losing to Penn-Trafford 18-17.

The players competed hard all day, as they are still learning the schemes and routes.  High practice repetitions will make us better.

Caleb Richwine, accepted an anonymous scholarship from a Carlisle community member to attend the Kohl’s Kicking Camp at Manheim Central HS over the weekend.  He won the kickoff challenge with a 61-yard kick and 4.0 hang time.  He tied for the FG competition with a 45 yarder!

Congratulations to Caleb!  Due to his success, he was chosen to compete in Milwaukee, WI vs. National Competition in late July.
